Bloom, a “non-project”

As an Interdisciplinary Designer, I find myself working various things such as Design Systems, User Interfaces, Apps, Websites, Branding etc. But I don’t want that to be the only thing I work on. Rather, I want to give myself as much time as I give to other people.

A couple of years ago, I drew a couple of flowers as a creative exercise. Those funny little flowers kept growing and slowly a pattern emerged. The repetitive creation of that pattern then morphed into a meditative practice. This “non-project” does not have a very specific desired outcome: no time frame, no restrictions, and no real aim except to loose oneself in the process of creating something. As the name tries to imply, the goal is to grow — both as a “creative” as well as a person. The idea is to manually produce the same pattern in various forms in order to learn new skills — with an emphasis on involving others whenever possible.

Below are some stories of flowers blooming.

I will continue to keep adding stories as I learn new skills / make new things. When possible, I might sell things that are the outcome of these creative / meditative exercises. Anything sold will always be very limited, high-quality, one-of-a-kind, probably not be reproduced ever again ;)

If you have a idea / want to collaborate or would like to support this “project without a goal”, please feel free to reach out and maybe we can make something together :)
