Borgo Pieve

(December 2020 - January 2021: Completely Quarantined)

Winter 2020 was rough.
Work was scarce, the quarantine didn’t seem like it was going to end anytime soon and the holidays were cancelled.
No festivities, no socialization, just the same monotony of being stuck indoors.

I wouldn’t say I’m an anxious person, but I’m quite restless.
I wake up vibrating and if that energy is not dispensed, I make myself (and everyone around me) insane.
Being stuck inside, I was starting to go crazy.

So, I started painting a wall. To have something to do.
I didn’t have any idea what I was doing but it didn’t matter.
I could switch off my brain and let my body dispense some energy.
A form of meditation.

Something started to emerge.
It grew and changed until there was no space left for it to grow.

The end result was alright, not mind-blowing or something I would necessarily call “art”.
But, it was satisfying and it’s kinda nice to look at.
The act itself was more important, very soothing.

I’ve been asking everyone if they have a wall for me.
I’ll slowly share what I’ve done so far

If you have a wall for me, let me know ;)
